Classification of Clothes
In my opinion, clothes can be divided into three main types according to the places people wear them. The first type is working clothes which people often wear at work. Their designs and colors often depend on the wearers’ working conditions or regulations. For instance, almost all students have to wear uniform which is a white shirt while farmers often wear old, dark clothes. As this type of clothes must adapt to the working environments, the wearers have the least chance to show their own style. The second type is household clothes which people always wear at home. This kind of clothing is usually made from soft materials so that the wearers can be flexible in doing housework or taking a rest. The most common design of household clothes is simple, motley suits. With this type, people can indulge their tastes by choosing decorating patterns and colors of their dresses. The last one is going – out clothes which can best express the wearers’ styles in comparison with the two previous types. It is because the wearers can freely choose any kind of dress which suits their tastes and ages. The designs and colors of this type are unlimited because they are only dependent on the wearers’ taste and way of combining clothes to create the perfect one which shows their characteristics. To sum up, we should choose suitable clothes for each circumstance so that we can be confident wearing them.
My Father
Among all members in my family, the person whom I respect most is my father. Although he is now in his late forties, he looks quite young and fit. My father has a medium height, and he is a little bit fat like many other men of his age. There are some wrinkles on his broad forehead and around his bright brown eyes. Those wrinkles, together with a dark complexion create a serious look on my father’s square face. As my father is a farmer, he has to work very hard to support our family life as well as my brother’s study and mine. However, he usually spends his very little free time reading newspaper and watching news on television. The personality that I admire him most is his devotion to our big extended family. When any member has troubles, my father usually does his best to find the right solution. However, he is very strict if we do anything wrong, which has created an image of a bossy man in my childish mind. Whenever being told what to do or being forbidden to do something, I thought that my father and I were as different as chalk and cheese. It was not until I left my home and managed my own life that I realized how useful his advice is. There may be differences between us, but I am always grateful to my father for his advice and devotion.
My father's and my brother's views towards games online
My father and my brother have different views on games online. Firstly, to my brother, games online are young people’s useful pastime which helps improve their computer skill as well as flexibility. My father, however, regards it as a useless, waste-of-money activity which makes the players woozy. Secondly, their attitudes towards game players are also contrary. My brother thinks that games online players are very cool and modern while my father always calls them “idle people”. As a result, my father prevents my brother from playing games online because he is afraid that it will spoil him. Finally, with his positive viewpoint, my brother always welcomes new games to have more new entertaining activities. On contrary, with his negative view, my father thinks that every kind of game online should be banned so that teenagers will concentrate on learning instead of spending time on games. To sum up, in my opinion, their contrary views may be just resulted from the generation gap between them.
Causes of stress
The causes of stress in our modern life are easy to identify. First of all, people nowadays have to suffer from a huge load of work. They spend more and more time working to earn money for higher daily expenses and avoid unemployment. On the contrary, their relaxing time is less and less, which greatly contributes to stress. Secondly, financial problems are also responsible for stress. If people have troubles with their finance, they can do nothing but spend all their time finding out the solutions. Moreover, as they are always in a bad mood, it is easy for them to have conflict with others. Because they think that no one supports them in their serious situations, they will soon be more depressed. Finally, relationship breaking up can also lead to stress. After splitting up, people often feel hopeless as if they had nothing important left. They do not receive any care or support from their partners as they used to. In conclusion, to be stress-free, we should try to balance our lives and look on the bright side.
Premarital Sex - Agree or Disagree?
With the growth of global integration, the issue of traditional attitude has been considerably changing in Vietnam. The change shows in that nowadays many young adults seem to be open to premarital sex. To my mind, having sexual intercourse before getting married is absolutely a bad tendency in our society.
First of all, having sex before getting married is against Vietnamese traditional values. In most cases, sexual relations between couples are only approved by the public after they officially get married. Simultaneously, other kinds of intercourse, including premarital sex, are considered immoral. Moreover, though we now approve of gender equality, women’s virginity is always treasured and regarded as a important requirement to a wife to-be. Consequently, if a woman has sex before getting married, she may not gain respect from her husband as well as her community.
Secondly, premarital sex can bring about some bad influences on people’s health. For instance, without using contraceptive devices, women may have pregnancy before getting married, which results in illegal abortion or child abandonment. Even when people use contraceptives, the abuse will considerably influence on women’s reproductive health. Apart from that, people who have sex before marriage are at high risk of contracting sexually-transmitted diseases because they may not know their partners very well.
People who disagree with this proposal may argue that people have their personal freedom to choose whether they have sex before marriage or not. In other words, they are independent in choosing and practicing their own sexual behaviors. However, each individual lives in a community which has its own standard of morality, so what fields to practice their personal freedom on should be considered. If a person ignores morality to indulge themselves with their own freedom, they will hardly have any approval from his or her community.
In general, premarital sex should be discouraged because of its bad influences on people as well as on traditional culture. There should be more programs to help adults beware of the damaging effects of premarital sex on them. By doing that, we may somewhat help young people have healthy family lives in the future.

Compare between living at home and living far away from home
Nowadays, most students study at university after graduating from high school. Due to the distance between their hometown and college, a few students live with their family while many others live far away from home. These two types of living have some different influences on students in terms of living condition, financial problems and independence.
Firstly, students living at home can enjoy better living condition than ones living far from home. As home is the whole family’s place, it is normally large and well-equipped with many electric devices. Also, students are provided with fresh, nutritious food. On the contrary, dormitory or rent house are usually small with poor facilities. For example, many students living in cramped rent house have to use one small space for cooking, eating, learning and sleeping. Owing to busy learning, students may skip their meal or eat fast food, which influences badly on their health.
Secondly, living at home differs from living far away in that it helps students avoid financial problems. Living at home, students have the telephone bills, electricity bills and other daily expenses paid by their parents while students living far from home have to pay all those things on their own with a monthly amount of money. Unlike students who receive parents’ instruction, students who do not live with their family often lack financial managing skills. As a result, they often spend money on unnecessary items and cope with running out of money.
Finally, the other obvious difference is that living far from home provides students more independence than living at home. It goes without saying that parents want to take good care of children by setting a wide range of rules for them. Consequently, students living with family have to ask for their parents’ permission if they want to go out or invite friends to their home. Additionally, parents also control their time spent on using computer and TV. In contrast, students living without parents’ control have more privacy because they do not have to obey the strict rules. They can go out whenever they want, and freely gather with their friends. Thanks to independent life, they can flexibly spend time on learning, surfing websites or playing games without any complaint.
In general, though living at home and living far away from home have some considerable differences, each type has its own advantages and disadvantages to students. Therefore, no matter what kinds of living students choose, they can still enjoy their wonderful life at college.

Some worldwide problems caused by unemployment
Nowadays, efficient machines are widely used in most countries. The fewer workers are needed to produce the same products, the faster joblessness increases. As a result, our modern world faces many serious problems caused by unemployment including family breakdown, inter-generational effects and social evils.
Firstly, the unemployed workers’ family is at higher risk of breaking down than the employed ones’. Due to losing jobs, it is difficult for them to play the role of a financial provider. Therefore, they have to experience a lower living standard than they used to. Moreover, the jobless workers, especially men, are often discontent with their marriage and idle life, which may lead to spouse abuse. Consequently, the unemployed usually have an unhappy family life.
Secondly, unemployment also brings about inter-generational effects on the unemployed workers’ children. Joblessness limits parents’ ability to finance their children’s schooling. In other words, they cannot satisfy their children’ essential demands in their life. Besides, their children may be illiterate or not well-educated due to lack of parents’ support. Lacking education, they will not meet the requirements of our society, so they may suffer from unemployment like their parents.
Lastly, the increase in social evils is partly caused by unemployment. When workers lose their main source of income, many follow illegal ways to earn money such as robbery, smuggling, etc. As a result, unemployment is somewhat responsible for higher crime rate in our society. Additionally, as the unemployed are often in a bad mood, it is easier for them to fall into drug addiction or alcoholism. Therefore, the more popular unemployment becomes, the more social evils arises.
To sum up, unemployment has left negative influences on our society. Though it is impossible to eliminate this problem, we can still decrease unemployment rate. The government should distribute the available works equally among the labor force by letting them work fewer hours a week. By doing this, we may help workers avoid the risk of being unemployed.

How to prevent young people from drug-taking?
In our modern life, social evils are widespread, which poses a big threat to people. One evil that causes a big concern to the whole society is drug-taking, for the number of young addicts is increasing. In my opinion, there are three urgent actions which should be done to prevent young people from using drugs.
Firstly, it is necessary to create a good living environment for the young. In order to do that, parents should take care of their children so that they can feel the warm atmosphere of their family. Schools should also create exciting extra-curriculum activities such as sports, music contests, etc involving students’ attendance and interest. With good care of their parents and schools, the young can avoid the temptation of drugs.
Secondly, there must be strict punishments set for both drug sellers and buyers. A good living environment alone cannot work effectively because evildoers have various tricks to seduce young people to get addicted to drugs. However, for fear of incurring punishments, fewer people will involve themselves in illegal drug-selling and taking. As a result, strict punishments obviously lessen the severity of illegal drug-taking.
Lastly, the operation of entertaining places where the young often gather such as bars, dance floors, etc should be paid close attention to because bad people often take advantage of these places to sell drugs. If we keep a keen eye on their operation, drug sellers will be detected, and they will have no chances to entice young people. Therefore, that young people take drugs is avoidable.
In general, creating a good living environment, setting strict punishments and controlling the operations of entertaining places for young people are essential if we want to protect them from harmful effects of drugs. It will not only help young people lead a healthy life but also eliminate the whole society’s big concern.
